5 Best Olive Oil Press Machines for Home Use
Each home olive oil press machine has its own unique features, so it’s important to choose the right one for your needs. I’ll go through each product and show you what makes it special. By the end of this article, you’ll know which home olive oil press machine is the best for you.
Without further ado, here are the best machines you can use to make olive oil at home.
1. GagalU Oil Extractor: Best If You Have Plenty Of Olives
If you have a lot of olives and you want to produce a large amount of olive oil, this is the best home olive oil press machine for you. The GagalU Oil Extractor can press up to 30 kg of olives per hour, so it’s perfect for commercial use or if you have a large family.
With a bearing capacity of 200 tons per square centimeter, you’ll be able to extract as much oil as possible from the olives. Also, it has a multi-function operation, and you can also choose the desired temperature – which is fantastic for cold pressing of olives (which is known to produce the highest quality olive oil).
Do note that you should crush olives before putting them into this oil extractor.
PROS
- Can press a large number of olives per hour
- Made of stainless steel
- Has a built-in filter
- Easy to use
- 200 tons of pressure per square centimeter
CONS
- It’s a bit pricy
- It’s heavy (11kg)
2. FoundGo 1800W Oil Press Machine: Best Overall
In my opinion, this FoundGo oil press machine is the best overall machine for at-home use. It’s not too large, yet it can produce generous amounts of olive oil.
With 1800 watts of power, it can press up to 9kg of olives per hour. Translated to olive oil, it can produce around 1-2 liters of olive oil per hour. For home use, it’s more than enough, in my opinion.
The best part about this press machine is that it can do both hot and cold presses. The range of temperatures is anywhere between 0-300 degrees Celsius. For instance, some other machines promise you cold pressings, but they still need to heat the fruit, which isn’t the best. Luckily, it’s not the problem with this machine.
The design is fantastic, and it’s very pleasant to keep in the kitchen. It looks modern and is really straightforward to use. Also, it’s not as heavy as some other machines, it has only 15kg. I don’t think it’s too much.
Important
This machine is intended for seeds only, but you can also press olives. However, you should follow these steps if you want to press olives with this machine:
1. Remove olive pits
2. Cut olives into smaller pieces (approx. peanut size)
3. Dry olives in the sun or use a microwave oven to heat them, allowing the water to evaporate – 5-6 minutes in a microwave should be enough.
4. Press them in the machine
PROS
- Real hot and cold press options
- Very nice design
- Reasonable priced
CONS
- Small container
3. Shikha Hot/Cold Oil Press Machine
This Shihka oil press machine is a fantastic affordable machine for making olive oil at home. It’s suitable for most oil crops, including olives.
It has 1500W of power, which is more than enough for pressing olives. During the extraction process, it only consumes around 0.6 kilowatts per hour. Also, it’s very straightforward to use but without any fancy buttons and LCD screens. If you prefer that, then this product isn’t the best option for you.
It weighs just under 11kg, which makes it the lightest machine on this list (Excluding the manual press).
The rod is made from 420 stainless steel, which is much stronger and wear-resistant than the standard 302 stainless steel. That ensures the durability of the device.

- Lightweight when compared to others
- You get plenty of attachments
CONS
- The cold press isn’t completely cold (50-100 degrees Celsius)
4. CGOLDENWALL Oil Press Machine
The CGOLDENWALL Oil Press Machine is the best overall home olive oil press machine because it’s easy to use and produces high-quality olive oil. It has a simple design, and you can easily operate it with just one button.
It’s also made out of stainless steel, so there’s no fear of breaking something. It’s sturdy enough for even tougher things than olive fruit. LCD display with extremely simple options makes it straightforward to use the device.
The best thing about this oil press machine is that you can choose between a cold press and a hot press. That’s extremely important for making olive oil since you want to avoid hot presses. However, even a cold press requires pre-heating, so keep that in mind.
Of course, this machine won’t be able to give you more than ca. 60% of the oil yield, but for home use, it’s pretty much, actually.

5. EJWOX Manual Press: Best Budget Option
If you’re on a tight budget, this EJWOX manual press machine is your no.1 choice. It’s a very affordable yet great manual press that’ll help you to make olive oil.
It’s a bit different than other machines on this list because it doesn’t use any electricity. Instead, you need to do all the work manually. However, that also means there are no extra costs for running the machine.
The best thing about this press is that it’s very lightweight and portable. You can easily take it with you wherever you go, even straight to the olive farm.
It’s a 100% cold press machine, so the quality of the olive oil will be fantastic. However, you’ll lose a few percent on the oil yield, but for at-home use, it’s still a fantastic choice.
Since there’s no electricity, not many things can go wrong. Also, because of that, cleaning this machine is extremely easy, and all you need is water and dish soap.
PROS
- Extremely affordable
- The real cold-press
- You’ll get fantastic olive oil quality
- Easy to clean and maintain
- More sizes to choose from
CONS
- Difficult to get replacement parts
Are Home Oil Press Machines Any Good?
As you can see, there are quite a few different home oil press machines available on the market. But are they any good? The answer is yes and no. It totally depends on your needs.
In my opinion, home oil press machines are worth it, especially if you only need them here and there. When it comes to olives, home oil press machines are the perfect choice for people who only have a few olive trees and make olive oil for their family needs.
So far, the biggest advantage of home oil press machines is that you’ll always get high-quality olive oil if you do everything properly. Large oil mills may mix your olives with someone else’s, which can disturb the quality of olive oil. With home oil press machines, that’s impossible.
The biggest disadvantage of home oil press machines is the capacity and the percentage of oil yield – you can’t expect them to produce 10 liters of olive oil per hour or to extract 95% of the oil content from the olives.
Another disadvantage is that many oil press machines will have the cold option of ca. 40 degrees Celsius, which is more than recommended for the production of extra virgin olive oil.
Furthermore, you can see my disclaimer above: some machines are for pressing seeds only, and in order to press olives, you’ll have to dry them first or heat them a bit in a microwave to reduce the amount of water content in the fruit.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for the best home olive oil press machine, then I would highly recommend one of the machines on this list. However, make sure to read the descriptions carefully and choose the one that best suits your needs.
We all have different needs and expectations, so make sure to choose the one that’ll fit your needs and, of course, the number of olives you grow every year.
